Reading "Gate To Women's Country" on Mother's Day
Today we are gathering at Jen's - by mere chance we are reading Tepper's "Gate to Women's Country" - three hundred years into the future, following the convulsion or nuclear war we hear these words: "you are not my mother" says a warrior child to his mother as part of a ritual insult. Sons are lost to war. The "gay syndrome" is wiped out. There is so much to discuss today.
